Avinja's German
Shepherd's have been showing and breeding German Shepherd
dogs since the late 1970's. To date we have bred and campaigned
three Champion German Shepherd males and many, many German
Shepherd championship and Open Show winners. We have also
provided local Police forces with a number of dogs that have
proved very successful. However, the majority of our German
Shepherd puppies go as loving, family dogs.
We normally
have two to three litters of German Shepherd puppies per year
bred from our own bitches in the home environment. We have
recently acquired our new young male Godalis Fargo at Avinja's
who has produced his first litter of pedigree German Shepherd
puppies that you can see on our Puppy
Page All puppies are acclimatised from a very early age
having a purpose built puppy nursery attached to the kitchen,
so that all our German Shepherd puppies have experience of
home life and all the noises and sights that go with it!
Having successfully
bred and shown two UK Breed Champions - Champion Avinja's
Griff, Champion Avinja's Odin and Kenyan Champion Avinja's
Henry, we are now moving forward with our newest acquisition
Godalis Fargo at Avinja's. Who as well as, flying the flag
for Avinja's German Shepherds is also competing in Obedience/Working
Trials and has already gained his Kennel Club Bronze Certificate.
All our German
Shepherds are reared on Frank's Pro Gold Super Premium Complete
Dog Food which has provided a solid basis for the development
of our dogs, high quality nutrition, excellent palatabilty
and the foundations of good bone structure, musculature and
coat condition - all the standards we require of an Avinjas's
German Shepherd dog.
